Description of event

The programme will start with half a day CPD on the 2nd March 2018 9.00am -12.00pm for school teaching staff. This will be led by Emma Middleton and Sue Baker.

All participants attending the CPD will receive a resource pack to include:

• CD of the 6 songs and narrative
• Classroom activities based around the story
• Preparation tips for the event happening in school

Schools/academies will then learn the 6 simple songs prior to the event.

Project in school 22nd 23rd May

A group of instrumentalists and a story teller will come into a school setting and give a 45min performance based on the narrative. This will include participation from the pupils with songs and other activities.

How the programme will work

Schools/academies will work in clusters so there will be one or two classes (depending on year group sizes) who go to a host school for the performance max amount at any one performance will be 150.
